A Message From The Greater Phoenix Tea Party

The Greater Phoenix Tea Party has experienced exponential growth in the last few weeks, as more and more concerned citizens are joining the ranks of the Patriots who are determined to preserve the Republic.  With the most recent 3+ trillion spending increase proposal, it is imperative that we join together to oppose efforts to destroy our country as we know it.

Many patriots came together in Nashville this weekend to do just that – for networking, idea sharing, and motivational speeches.  The Greater Phoenix Tea Party group chose not to send a representative to Nashville, however, due to the high cost of the conference fee.  We felt that by the time we paid for airfare, hotel, and the conference, we would easily be spending at least $1100 per attendee; money we certainly could put to good use right here in Phoenix.  We also felt that there was motivation enough in the headlines, so we decided that we would catch the Palin speech on YouTube.  Time is critical and therefore we stayed behind.  We look forward, however, to hearing how the event was a success for other groups.

We strongly encourage groups to start up in areas where there isn’t one, to meet weekly for educational topics, current event updates, action items for the members, and time to vent or share ideas.  It is vitally important for these groups to be plugged into a larger group, which is plugged into the national group, so that we are all joining forces, gaining strength in numbers and in message.  The Tea Party is in danger of splintering its message due to groups who refuse to work with others.  This does exemplify the spirit of freedom, however it does not exemplify the spirit of our country – sovereign states united together to form one strong America.  We therefore implore all groups to remain autonomous yet unite with the larger groups in an effort to build our ranks for the army that is needed to defeat the efforts to change the very fundamentals of our government.
