Arizona Samuel

“Arizona” Samuel  has lived in Arizona for five decades.  Avid fisherman and storyteller Samuel has always had a keen interest in the political scene.  Samuel participates in or is a member of 30 different organizations around the state.  He offers an interesting perspective from being on the ground and in the midst of things.  Quick to tell you what he thinks and why he’s just as apt to buy you a beer and pat you on the back.

M.K. Coakley

M.K. was one of SWR’s first and remains one of SWR’s most frequent contributors.  Coakley offers great insight into the state-wide implications of our political scene here in Arizona with an odd ability to seemingly be every-where at once.  Combat Veteran of two branches of the United States Military and a former sports writer, Coakley has been around in more ways than one.  When not arguing over a coffee somewhere out there you’re likely to find M.K. cruising around the state on a fine looking Harley Davidson.

Deucalion Mawronahan

had lived in the Tempe area since coming here in the 1970’s with his family as a child. For the past three-years, he has called the newly named San Tan Valley area home. An average Joe among Joe’s, Deucalion is Husband to a lovely bride, A proud Uncle and Patriot, romantic voyager, an entrepreneur, home and land-owner, former business owner and proud papa to two fluffy puppies. A consummate fan of our ancient history and the work of Will Durant, Deucalion is also an avid consumer of science fiction and of course espionage and other such ‘who-done-its’. He loves fast cars and the open road in front of the handlebars with the music that every 13 year-old boy loves to torment his parents with, blaring in the background.

CLINT VAN WUFFEN

As a concerned 38 year native of Arizona, I have seen many changes in our beautiful state. We are resilient people with many resources and the capability of becoming a business Mecca. We have resources, perfect weather, and many wonderful climates that attract people from around the world.

I want to make common sense approaches to legislation. Some people believe that Republicans are out of touch. Well, I happen to disagree. Republicans are thinkers. Republicans understand the sacrifices that were made for the freedoms we enjoy today. This is why I am so passionate about politics and making a difference.

We need more people to join the conservative movement. I am an avid motorcyclist and musician, and I’ve traveled the world on a modest budget. This has provided enriching opportunities to engage with diverse groups of voters.

I am an entrepreneur and believe strongly in free enterprise. My passion for people and business led me to establish a nonprofit organization whose missional direction is geared towards helping senior citizens of Arizona.

Bottom line, I am proud to be an American. I am proud to be a Conservative Republican. I am not out of touch. I will not divide my conservative party with petty disagreements. I stand by my values, listen, evaluate, and I think.

Bill Konopnicki

Living in rural Arizona helps me understand both the advantages and the challenges of living in a rural community. My goal in serving is to make life better for all Arizonans, especially, the citizens of District 5. This includes better education (both K-12 and higher education), health care, protecting our forests, keeping rural Arizona’s water safe and expanding rural economic development while at the same time keeping taxes low and providing necessary state services.

While much has been accomplished in the past 8 years, there is much more still to do. It is important that we continue to fight for the citizens of Arizona by providing affordable health care, increase funding for K-12 education, provide greater accessibility to higher education, develop more and higher paying jobs, and keep our communities safe. I believe that we must have a secure border and must deal with the issue of illegal immigration
