Jeff and Terri Bland started their electrical contracting company in 2003.  They incorporated as Bland Family Electric, Inc. in April of 2004.  In 2007 they started doing their research into solar photovoltaic energy.  They are now doing business as Bland Family Solar & Electric.  Through SEI (Solar Energy International) hands on training courses, Jeff has achieved certification through NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) and is a fully functional solar electric distributor and installer. Terri is President and Secretary of the corporation.  She is currently attending college towards a bachelors degree in business administration.

Jeff started his career as an electrician at the age of 15 working with his father on commercial and residential electrical jobs.  He has been an electrician for going on 21 years now.  Throughout those 21 years Jeff has run the gamut of electrical jobs, from laborer to apprentice, journeyman, project manager and finally licensed electrical contractor.  Jeff and Terri met in 1997 and were married in 1999.  They have two sons.  Terri worked in the field of medicine and gave up a career in nursing to start the electrical contracting company with Jeff.  Since starting the corporation back in 2004 they have evolved to meet the growing needs in the field of alternative energy as well as traditional electrical service.

Jeff and Terri have kept their company small to be certain to meet the individual needs of every single client.  Custom homes are the Blands’ specialty area.  Though, no matter the project, if it needs power of any type, they can do it.  Jeff works closely with general contractors as well as all of the other trades and homeowners alike.  Each client is given special attention and a personally designed plan and estimate for their project.
