Solid quarterly and annual results
Magic’s semi-annual dividend declaration follows a solid 4Q2015 and full-year 2015.
For 4Q2015, Magic Software Enterprises Ltd. (NASDAQ:MGIC) reported that revenue rose 13% YoY to set a new quarterly record of $47.9 million. Discounting the impact of adverse forex fluctuation, revenue rose 15% to $49.1 million in the quarter. The management of Magic particularly blamed the devaluation of the Euro and Yen for the negative impact on the quarter’s topline.
Coming to the bottom-line, Magic posted adjusted net income of $5.6 million or $0.13 per share. That compared with adjusted net income of $5.7 million or $0.13 per share in a similar quarter a year earlier. Adverse forex movements also took the shine out of the quarter’s bottom-line metrics. Discounting the currency impacts, adjusted net income would have been $6.1 million or $0.14 per share.
For the full-year, Magic Software Enterprises Ltd. (NASDAQ:MGIC) posted revenue of $176 million, reflecting a gain of 7% from the previous year. Devaluation of Israeli, European and Japanese currencies put a squeeze on the full-year topline. Without the currency impacts, revenue for 2015 would have risen 13% to $185 million.
Coming to the bottom-line, Magic posted adjusted 2015 net income of $21.7 million or $0.49 per share. That compared with a net income of $20.5 million or $0.47 per share in a similar quarter a year ago.
Total cash and equivalents at the end of 2015 was $77 million.
